Meet Anna

Certified Aromatherapist and Garden Lover

Anna - aromatherapist

Hi I’m Anna, I am a mom of multigeneration children. I have children in their 20’s and one in elementary school and grandchildren. I am a certified aromatherapist specializing in animal care.

Growing up I have always had a connection to the earth. I enjoy gardening, taking long hikes in the mountains, camping on weekends and appreciating all things outdoors. It didn’t discover my passion for the healing ability of plants until my eldest son was diagnosed with ADHD in elementary school.

I felt that there had to be more to it then simply putting him on medication. I started reading ever book I could find on natural ways to manage attention problems in children. The answers took me back outdoors. I started growing food on my small apartment balcony. We also began reading food labels and avoiding all of the artificial ingredients we find in our foods today.

Since that time no matter where I have lived I have had a garden. From a humble start of pots on my apartment balcony to multiple raised beds. I do feel it is important to let nature direct your gardening. I stay away from pesticides, but you may feel they are necessary. Fortunately for us we still live in the United States and can choose whatever we want. My goal is to guide people that are interested in eating healthier, growing gardens and utilizing all that are planet has to offer with as little interference as possible.

I have spent the last 20+ years researching. I have attended many classes, certification courses and worked with local gardeners learning various ways to care for ourselves.

  1. Hello Anna,
I just read about you on the NAHA website and am wondering what part of Northern Nevada you are in since I am, too! I live in 4 miles North of Virginia City, and spend lots of time in Reno for my job and have family there as well.

I’ve been seriously involved with essential oils for over 20 years and trained with Kathi Keville and studied with The American of Healthcare Sciences in both herbal and aromatherapy cerifications. I would be interested in meeting you if you have interest in getting together for a chat.

    Enjoy your day,

    Kim

    1. Hi Kim,
I am currently living in Spanish Springs. It is nice to hear from a fellow Northern Nevadan. I love Kathi’s book about the Aromatic Garden :). It would be nice to meet up sometime.
